Primarily a writer and teacher, Kyle Vaughn has also been experimenting with photography while working on a manuscript of socially conscious poems, both visual and text-based.  His poems have appeared in journals such as Poetry East, Confrontation, and The Sentence and in anthologies such as Introduction to the Prose Poem and The Portable Poetry Workshop.  This appearance in Annalemma is the first for his photos.  Living in Dallas, Texas, he currently teaches Creative Writing, World Literature, and the Literature of War in the Non-Western World.
