We got to go to the BCS Championship game last week.
We got to ride in a bus with bunk beds.
My dad set the whole thing up. To say he is a huge Gators fan is a huge understatement. He bleeds orange and blue.
I didn’t know what an Oklahoma Sooner was so I wiki’d it. Turns out it’s another word for cheater.
We tailgated for five hours.
Danny Wuerffel was there throwing long bombs to fans. My dad caught one. You couldn’t wipe the smile off his face with a floor buffer.
Ages later, the game actually started.
I’m not the biggest football fan. Never really grew up playing it or watching that many games. Chase is the same way. When he told my Uncle that he wasn’t really into football my Uncle goes, “What is wrong with you?”
The halftime show was a salute to South Beach. It was unusually gay for a football halftime show.
BCS Half Time fabulousness from chris heavener on Vimeo.
Chase played video games on his cell phone the whole time.
We won! Does it bug anyone else when sports fans say that? “Our defense was really spotty in the first half, but we stepped up our game in the second half and it brought us all the way to victory.” I’m sorry, how many passes did you throw? How many yards did you run?
could care less about football… but i liked this blog post (especially the photos and text parts – oh and the video too)
