Yana Tutunik’s first love is Charles Bukowski, who led her to make painful work as a student at CalArts. When she is not making painful work she enjoys drawing the labors of life’s rituals and repetitions. It is all very beautiful. Other passions include lounging (preferably naked) with drink in hand, arguing fervently about her convictions, and reading difficult texts that will probably take her years to understand. This is all very beautiful too.
