Shannon May is an illustrator living in San Francisco, CA. She spent her childhood on the coast of southern Connecticut amongst ruins of the Revolutionary War and monk parakeets. She is fascinated by the promise and aesthetic of science and loves exploring, being uncomfortable, books, clouds, and geometry. She graduated from MICA in 2010 with a BFA in Illustration and Printmaking. Currently she spends her free time making objects (themooncraft.etsy.com), playing ukulele, listening to records, and entertaining her kitten, Momo.
Her work has been published in the New York Times and will appear in American Illustration 29 in November 2010.
